About Lomé
This coastal capital lies on the Gulf of Guinea, pressed against the border with Ghana. It became the capital of German Togoland in 1897 and remained the administrative centre under French rule after the First World War, with its port handling much of the country’s sea traffic.

A flat, wide cotton sweatband in solid royal blue, with the white Babolat double line embroidered at the centre.
The double line in the name is that embroidery, not a printed stripe on the band.
The knit is majority cotton, which absorbs sweat rather than moving it across the skin, with nylon and elastic added so the band holds its shape and its position through a long match. It is a single-size band, sold individually, and it does two things: keeps sweat out of the eyes and hair off the face.
Cotton suits humid conditions, where sweat is constant rather than occasional: Lomé sits on the Gulf of Guinea and runs humid for most of the year, and an absorbent band is doing steady work there rather than occasional work.
The single-size fit and single-unit packaging make it a straightforward replacement item, which matters in a climate like Lomé’s where a band is washed as often as a shirt.
