Poly Tour Pro holds its tension better than almost anything in its class, and the reason is in the manufacturing rather than in the chemistry. Yonex pre-stretches the round co-polyester monofilament during production, so the string arrives with most of its elongation already taken out.
The bed settles less after stringing, and the string played on in week three is close to the string strung in week one.
Measured static stiffness sits around 0.9 kg/mm: firm, precise and control-forward, which is what has made it a tour standard.
It does not manufacture power, and it is not intended to.
This is the 17 gauge, 1.20 mm, the thinner build. A thinner string sinks further into the ball and returns more spin, and it wears through sooner. Supplied as one 12 metre set, sized for a single racquet and a full, committed swing.
Gurgaon plays much of its tennis on floodlit hard courts through long hot months, with dust carried in off the plain, and abrasive dust is hard on a thin string, which is worth knowing before choosing a 1.20 over a 1.30.

Sultanpur National Park protects a seasonal wetland about 15 kilometres from the city on the Gurgaon-Farrukhnagar road.
