This city sits on the Vistula River and was founded in the thirteenth century under the Teutonic Order. Its medieval trading center, associated with the Hanseatic League, survived the Second World War with comparatively little destruction, leaving the Gothic old town largely intact.

A long-sleeved men’s tennis shirt from Fila’s Performance range, the brand’s on-court line. The long sleeve answers two problems that look like opposites.
In the cold it holds warmth through an early start without having to be taken off once the body warms up, and in full sun it covers the arms, since cloth is the only sun protection that does not come off with the sweat that carries it.
The fabric is a moisture-wicking knit. Perspiration is drawn away from the skin and spread across the outer face of the cloth, where the surface area is large enough for it to evaporate rather than pool.
That is what keeps a long-sleeved shirt from becoming heavier as the match goes on, and it is the reason a covered arm is not automatically a hotter one.
Toruń sits inland on the Vistula in north-central Poland, where the continental range is wide: cold mornings well into spring and hot open afternoons in July. A single shirt that works at both ends of that range is worth more than two that each work at one end of it.

The Performance range is Fila’s playing kit rather than its heritage line, which is why the shirt is specified around moisture management first and appearance second. Fibre composition is set per season and printed on the garment label rather than fixed across the range.

Shirt: Okay, the Old Town Hall is fully serving main-character architecture in the market square, and local lore says it has a window for every day of the year. Is the group getting this, because this light is giving calendar-core.
Shirt: We are posted at the Kopernika Street house where Nicolaus Copernicus was born, so yes, the fit is orbiting perfectly. Hashtag out loud: heliocentric but make it tennis.
Shirt: This defensive tower leans about a metre and a half out of plumb, and honestly, same after a three-set match. Check the angle, check the drip, this is giving medieval posture check.
Shirt: At the Living Museum of Gingerbread, you press the dough into old carved moulds yourself, which is basically arts-and-crafts cardio. The shirt is breathable, the content is spicy, and yes, I am hashtagging gingerbread gains out loud.
