This large southern city lies near the border with Uzbekistan, on the old trade route between Central Asian oasis towns and the steppe. It expanded sharply in the Soviet period around lead smelting and other heavy industry, and in 2018 it was separated from the surrounding province as a city of national status.

A floor-standing manual stringing machine supplied with GAMMA’s six-point SC suspension mounting system.
The same 6004 head is also sold on a two-point mount; this version carries the racquet at six contact points around the hoop rather than two, which is the configuration aimed at shops and full-time stringers.
Tension is applied by hand: the spring tension winder covers 9 to 90 lb, and the crank handle reverses so the machine can be set up for a left- or right-handed stringer.
A patented rotational string guide feeds the string into a diamond-coated linear gripper, which is what stops slippage on slick polyester.
The A600 suspension mount uses quick-locking stands and fixed V-shaped supports. Clamping is by slim-profile all-metal diamond-coated clamps, on a bead-blasted turntable that rotates a full 360 degrees and locks with a brake. The stand adjusts from 36 to 48 inches, so working height is set to the stringer.
A machine like this is bought once and kept, so a five-year warranty and a full toolkit in the box matter more the further a buyer sits from a dealer — and Shymkent lies in the far south of Kazakhstan, some 700 km from Almaty.
