The Wave Exceed Tour 7 is Mizuno’s tournament all-court shoe, and its argument is made through a plate. Inside the midsole sits the Mizuno Wave plate, a shaped insert whose job is lateral stability: it resists the sideways collapse of the sole that happens when a player plants hard and changes direction under load.
Around that plate the midsole runs Enerzy NXT, Mizuno’s energy-return compound, with PoWnCe cushioning underfoot and a D-Flex Groove cut into the sole so the foot can still bend where a foot is meant to bend.
Support and flex are usually traded against each other; the plate-and-groove arrangement is the attempt to hold both.
The upper is Mizuno’s 3-D Solid material, soft and flexible but built to breathe and to last, with a raised tongue and eyelet placement that locks the foot down rather than merely holding it. The outsole is DX Rubber, the most wear-resistant compound Mizuno makes. The shoe weighs 12.7 ounces in a size 10.5, comes in a medium width, suits a slightly low arch and runs true to size.
Tokat lies inland in north-central Anatolia, where summers are hot and dry and winters genuinely cold, so play moves between outdoor hard courts in the long season and indoor halls in the short one — both surfaces the all-court sole is built for.
