St. Kinga's Chapel
Dunlop Iconic Touch 16g Tennis String Set: One hundred and one metres below the surface. One hundred and one! And they built a CHURCH down here, in the hole left by one enormous block of salt. Started 1896 and just kept going — the sculptor-miners Józef Markowski, his brother Tomasz, and Antoni Wyrodek cutting altars, pulpit and bas-reliefs straight out of the rock, including — are you ready — Leonardo's Last Supper. IN SALT. Chandeliers of purified salt crystal over the nave, dedicated to Kinga, the thirteenth-century Hungarian princess and patroness of salt miners, whose ring turns up in the very first Wieliczka block. Masses, weddings, concerts. The acoustics in here? WOO.

Wieliczka Saltworks Castle
Dunlop Iconic Touch 16g Tennis String Set: Up top now and this is where the MONEY lived. Late thirteenth century, headquarters of the royal saltworks — the outfit running Wieliczka AND Bochnia for the Polish crown. The żupnicy, the salt administrators, sat in these rooms and ran production, ran sales, ran the books, and handed down JUSTICE. Central castle house, northern castle, defensive walls, a tower. Damaged in the Second World War and rebuilt; today it holds the Krakow Saltworks Museum — mining technology, town history, and a famous display of historic salt cellars. Then 2013: added to the UNESCO inscription itself. The office got World Heritage status. The OFFICE!
