Our Likeness & Creative Content Policy
The Tennis Tactician uses the names, personas, and cultural legacies of historical figures, musicians, actors, athletes, and entertainers as the thematic foundation for cardio tennis clinics. Here’s exactly what we do and why we stand behind it.
We use these themes to teach people tennis. Each clinic is built around a historical figure or cultural moment as an educational lens — a way to make the sport more interesting, more memorable, and more fun. We’re not selling “Whitney Houston merchandise.” We’re running a cardio tennis clinic themed around the era and spirit of Whitney Houston. That distinction is legally and ethically meaningful.
These programs are transformative. We take a celebrity’s cultural identity and use it as an educational scaffold — not to reproduce their work, but to frame athletic instruction in a way that resonates emotionally. That’s closer to a university course using a historical figure as a case study than it is to unauthorized commercial exploitation. Transformative use has long been recognized as a legitimate and protected activity under copyright and related doctrines.
We don’t imply endorsement. Nothing in our marketing suggests that any featured figure — Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, Lin-Manuel Miranda, or anyone else — has endorsed, sponsored, or approved The Tennis Tactician. We honor them as cultural icons. We don’t represent them as commercial partners.
We don’t displace their market. Nobody skips buying a Beyoncé album because they took a cardio tennis clinic. We don’t compete with any estate’s merchandise, licensed experiences, or any other monetized interest tied to these figures.
We believe these clinics honor the people they’re named after. We’re putting their music in front of new audiences, telling their stories in the context of movement and community, and celebrating their legacies in a way that’s genuinely positive. That’s the spirit in which this is offered.
That said — if anyone connected to a featured figure, their estate, or their representatives has a concern, we want to hear from you directly. See the removal policy below.
Photo & Media Removal Policy
If you appear in any photo, video, or other media published by The Tennis Tactician — on this site, our social channels, or anywhere else — and you’d like it removed, email us at [contact email]. Tell us what you’re in and where you saw it. We’ll remove it within 48 hours. No process, no friction.
The same applies to estates, representatives, or anyone acting on behalf of a public figure we’ve referenced. If a likeness, portrait, or AI-generated image appears in our content and you want it down, contact us. We’ll remove it immediately.
Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to run the business. When you register for a clinic or contact us, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you voluntarily share. We use that information to communicate with you about your registration, send updates if you’ve opted in, and nothing else.
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with third parties except where necessary to process payments or deliver services. If you want to see what we have on you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, email us.
Refund & Returns Policy
Clinic registrations are non-refundable.
Each clinic has ten spots. When you book one, you’re holding a spot that someone else can’t have. We plan staffing, materials, and logistics around confirmed attendance. Because of that, we can’t offer refunds when plans change — and we think that’s fair once you understand the structure.
If you can’t make it, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to someone else. Just let us know before the clinic so we can update the registration.
If a clinic is cancelled by us, you’ll receive a full refund or a credit toward a future session — your choice.
Merchandise
If something arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days and we’ll make it right — replacement or refund, your call. For all other returns, merchandise can be returned within 14 days of delivery in unworn, unwashed, original condition. Shipping costs for returns are the buyer’s responsibility unless the item was defective.
