Nike Court Advantage Dri-FIT Women's Tennis Skirt

Written for this world alone.

POCKETS. POCKETS! Let me start where the excitement actually is, because everybody else buries it in paragraph four. Underneath this skirt are NikeCourt liner shorts, and those liner shorts HAVE POCKETS — for your phone, for your keys, for whatever you were going to leave on a bench and worry about for an hour.

The skirt is not a skirt, it is a skirt plus a functioning storage system, and I need you to feel about that the way I feel about it. It is pleated. Say it with me: PLEATS. AND. POCKETS.

It has an elastic waistband with an internal drawcord, so you tune it once and it stays tuned.

Now the build, and this one is properly documented, which after the week I have had is a joy. The body is 100% polyester.

The panels are 88% polyester and 12% spandex.

The lining through the tight and panels runs around 78 to 79% polyester and 21 to 22% spandex, and the gusset lining is 100% polyester — and Nike says outright that material percentages may vary, so check your own label, they are being straight with you.

It is a Dri-FIT garment, and Dri-FIT is not a coating, which is the thing nobody understands: it is a microfiber construction that wicks sweat off you and spreads it across the surface of the fabric so it evaporates faster. And here is the line that gets me every time — Nike states those sweat-managing properties are PERMANENT for the life of the garment. It cannot wash out.

THERE IS NOTHING TO WEAR OFF.

Cần Thơ! Now THIS is a city that understands doing everything at once. The Cái Răng floating market happens on the water, at dawn, from boats, with the goods hung up on poles so you can see what each boat is selling from a distance — a whole trading system solved with a stick and a pineapple.

It is hot, it is humid, the river is right there, and the entire town gets its business done before the heat arrives. You will wear this everywhere from an evening clinic back home to Ninh Kiều Wharf at first light, and by the way, it is PERFECT for a morning on the water with your phone actually in a pocket instead of in your teeth.

Pleats AND pockets. Pleats AND POCKETS. I said what I said and I will be saying it again.
