AND HERE COMES THE FUEL CELL — full rim, rectangular wrap, and it does NOT arrive quietly! Let's go to the numbers, because the numbers on this one are a story in themselves.
Sixty millimetres of lens, nineteen millimetre bridge, hundred-and-thirty millimetre temples, thirty-nine millimetres of lens height, and a frame measuring a hundred and thirty across — that is a BIG unit, ladies and gentlemen, that is coverage across the whole eye socket and out to the temple.
The frame is O Matter, injected, which is Oakley's own material, and the lens is Plutonite, and Plutonite stops one hundred per cent of UVA, one hundred per cent of UVB, one hundred per cent of UVC and harmful blue light out to four hundred nanometres. ONE HUNDRED PER CENT. Not most! Not nearly all! ALL OF IT!
And the optics — Twin Toric geometry with High Definition Optics, which is the engineering that stops a curved lens from bending what you see as it wraps around your face, because a wrap that distorts is a wrap that lies to you at the exact moment a ball is coming. PRIZM tuning on the lens brings out fine detail.
There's a Deep Water Polarized in the range, there's a Prizm Grey, and the earsocks and nosepads are Unobtainium, the material that grips HARDER the more you sweat into it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
It gets better when the match gets worse!
The Swedish Manor lodged two kings, Augustus the Second AND Stanisław Leszczyński, in the same building. Two kings! One address!
Now — Sopot, and we're going back to the Prussian era, and what a lineup.
Down the road the Sierakowski Mansion sits behind its lawn, late eighteenth century, and the Spanish Manor is the other survivor from the same period — THREE manor houses still standing from a town that was barely a town.
You'll wear these everywhere from a blazing hard court to a long afternoon by the water, and while you're here — get yourself to Park Północny, because there's a statue there of Jean Georg Haffner, an army doctor, the man who turned this place into a spa town. A DOCTOR.
Not a king, not a general — a doctor decided a fishing village should be somewhere people came to get better, and the whole town you're standing in is what happened next. UNBELIEVABLE SCENES.
"One hundred per cent of UVA, UVB and UVC. Not most. Not nearly all. ALL OF IT."
