Okay so first — the feel. Just hold it. This is a specially engineered elastomer, not the usual tacky-when-new-and-slippery-by-Thursday situation, and it is 0.5 mm thin. Half a millimetre. Zero point zero two of an inch.
That is the entire pitch and it is a good one, because a thin overgrip means you still feel the bevels of the handle underneath, and the bevels are how your hand knows what grip it is in without looking. Thick overgrips round everything off and then you wonder why the volleys have gone weird.
What it does on court: tacky and smooth at the same time, which sounds contradictory until you have one on, and serious sweat absorption, which is the whole reason anybody buys an overgrip in the first place. Three to a pack, so you can do three racquets or one racquet three times, and it comes in black, blue and white.
My honest take — and I say this as someone who has filmed a lot of grip-wrapping content — is that this is the one to put on before a hot match rather than the one you leave on all season. It is thin, it is grippy, it dies honourably.
And Sharm el-Sheikh. This is giving clarity. The water at Ras Muhammad is the kind of blue that makes people accuse you of editing, and at Shark Reef the coral wall just drops — eight hundred metres of it, straight down, and you can hang over the edge of it like you are hovering. Are you getting this?
You will use this grip everywhere from a humid morning session to a five-set nightmare where your hand is the first thing to give up, and it is also perfect for the walk along Naama Bay afterwards, past the Bedouin handicraft stands, holding a hibiscus tea that is going to photograph beautifully whether or not you drink it.
Half a millimetre. That is all that should ever come between your hand and the handle.
