Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top

A slim-cut sleeveless Sport-line top in a wicking knit, offered in Black, White, Flamingo and Rubine Red — and those two reds are nothing alike, one is rhubarb in April and one is slow-roasted beetroot. It wants an afternoon in Jonava first, starting at a museum that used to be the place where the horses were changed and everybody got fed.

Stop one

the Jonava Regional Museum, housed in the town's old horse post station

Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top: This museum sits in Jonava’s old horse post station, which makes me picture travelers swapping horses while I swap recipes. If those walls could talk, they’d ask for oats first and supper second.

02

Stop two

the Abraomas Kulvietis monument in Ramybes skveras, to the sixteenth-century reformer and scholar

Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top: Abraomas Kulvietis was a sixteenth-century reformer and scholar, so naturally I assume he seasoned every argument with a pinch of Latin. His monument stands in Ramybės skveras, and I’m hungry enough to call that a perfectly plated civic square.

03
evening cardiovascular tennis clinic Fort Lauderdale — Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top at the brick twin-domed Church of St James in Jonava
Stop three

the Church of St James, brick and twin-domed, its crypt holding the Kosakovski family who founded the town

Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top: The brick, twin-domed Church of St James keeps the Kosakovski family, Jonava’s founders, in its crypt—very serious history with absolutely no room for a snack table. Two domes, though, and my chef brain immediately sees covered serving dishes.

04

Stop four

the towerless red-brick Church of St Anne at Skaruliai, built in 1622 with a three-part apse

Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top: The red-brick Church of St Anne at Skaruliai was built in 1622, towerless and finished with a three-part apse. That is not a church plan to me; that is a historical tasting menu in brick.

The Jonava, Lithuania track

Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top

Written for this world alone.

Everything I know, I know through a kitchen, so bear with me. The Lacoste Sport Slim Fit Women's Tennis Tank Top is a slim-cut sleeveless tennis top, and slim is the operative word — this is a close-fitting garment, cut near the body, and if what you want is a loose tank you can move around inside, this is not that and will not become that.

It is the cotton apron of tennis tops: it sits where you put it, it does not flap into your work, and you forget it is there. That is the compliment.

The build, honestly and only as far as I can stand it up: Lacoste's Sport line, sleeveless, slim through the body, in a moisture-moving knit that pulls sweat off the skin and pushes it out to the surface where it can go.

Four colourways — Black, White, Flamingo, and Rubine Red — and I would draw your attention to those last two, because Flamingo and Rubine are not the same red at all. One is the pink of a rhubarb stem in April; the other is the deep beetroot red you get after an hour of slow roasting.

The fibre split and the exact hem length are not published by Lacoste anywhere I can verify, so I am not going to invent them for you. A recipe with a made-up quantity in it is not a recipe.

Jonava is where I have put it, and Jonava is a town I like precisely because it grew up around a place where people stopped to eat. The Regional Museum sits in the old horse post station — that is what the building was, a staging post, where the horses were changed and everyone in the carriage got fed while it happened.

Every town on a road has one of those in its bones somewhere. Close-fitting layers matter here in August, when the Neris valley goes still and humid and nothing moves.

You will wear this everywhere from an evening clinic under the lights back home to the shade of Ramybės skveras — and by the way, it is perfect for the long lunch afterwards, because a slim top and a cold beetroot soup in July is one of the few genuinely correct combinations in this life.

A recipe with a made-up quantity in it is not a recipe. Same goes for a spec sheet.
