The Jet Tere 2 All Court in the women's fit is a streamlined upper over a highly breathable mesh, cut down to nothing you do not need. It is not a maximum-support fortress. It never claimed to be.
It claims to be light and it delivers on that, and a shoe that keeps its word is worth more than one that oversells.
The upper is a single layer of mesh with a Matryx piece over the forefoot for lateral support, which is where the shoe has to hold you when you change direction. Hard-wearing rubber covers the inner forefoot down to the toes, because that is where a shoe fails first and I will not have equipment failing.
Now the kit inspection, and it is a good one.
The midsole on this generation is 5 percent thicker than the last, which Babolat added after actually asking club players what was missing — an OrthoLite moulded insole on top, and a KPRSX cushioning insert of EVA sitting directly beneath the heel to take the shock. Active Flexion segments the sole into 9 key pressure points so it flexes where your foot flexes.
The outsole is Michelin premium rubber, thickened in the high-wear zones. The company has held this line since 1875 and has not once broken step.
