Design Museum Holon
Wilson Roland Garros 2025 Super Tour Tennis Bag: So the regular guide is out — something about a scheduling conflict — and they sent me, which is fine, totally fine, I know things. The Design Museum Holon was designed by Ron Arad and opened in 2010, its five interlocking steel ribbons making it one of the most striking museum buildings in the Middle East, and I definitely would have led with that if I'd had more time to prepare.

Holon Iris Reserve dunes
Wilson Roland Garros 2025 Super Tour Tennis Bag: The Holon Iris Reserve protects one of the last surviving patches of the coastal sand dune ecosystem that once stretched across this entire region, and the protected Coastal Iris — Iris atropurpurea — blooms here each February, which the regular guide apparently talks about for ten full minutes according to my briefing notes. I'll give you the condensed version, which is arguably better, and the bag's thermal-lined ball compartment is holding up beautifully in this sand, nobody asked but I noticed.
I am only standing in for the bag you actually came to see, so let me be useful rather than charming. This is the cream and clay one — the daylight version, the colours of the courts themselves rather than the floodlit navy — and it is the full-size Super Tour, not the compact stand-in.
Up to nine racquets across two main compartments, with Thermoguard lining to hold off extreme temperature and protect the tension in your string beds; heat is the thief here, and the lining does not stop it so much as slow it to a walk. A ventilated shoe pocket, so the pair you played in travels separately and dries on the way home.
Here is the sheet I was handed.
Locking zippers throughout. The shell is 80 per cent polyurethane over 20 per cent polyester, which is what gives it the smooth, slightly waxy hand and lets rain sit on the surface rather than soak in. It measures 29 by 13 by 13 inches and carries two ways, on an adjustable shoulder strap or on padded backpack straps.
Two large exterior side pockets.
Holon is the right city for someone filling in. Everything here was made to a brief and then quietly exceeded it: a museum of design, a museum of cartoons, a garden built entirely out of children's stories, and a nature reserve preserving dunes that everybody else paved over.
“The lining does not beat the heat. It only makes the heat take the long way round.”
