The Mauritania Railway runs about seven hundred kilometres from the Zouerate mines to Nouadhibou and the ore trains can stretch to two kilometres and weigh up to eighty-four thousand tonnes, making them among the heaviest trains on the planet — which is mildly interesting at best, I'm not impressed or anything.

They're Mediterranean monk seals, which are actually one of the most endangered pinnipeds in the world with fewer than eight hundred individuals surviving, and the submarine cave system here at Cap Blanc supports one of the last significant breeding colonies, so — not that it matters — this spot is kind of critical for the species' entire survival. Anyway.
Okay so. It is the clay one. That is genuinely the main thing — same Rush Lite 5, built on a clay-specific outsole instead of the all-court version, which matters because clay is the surface where the wrong tread just packs solid and then you are basically ice skating. Whatever, it is a real difference, I am not going to pretend it is not.
The rest of it: Rush Lite is the streamlined end of the Rush family. Lighter, more forgiving fit, less structure than the Rush Pro, which sounds like a downgrade and is not — it is a shoe for people who play a lot rather than people who play at absolute maximum intensity twice a week.
Explosive speed, responsive stability, comfort that lasts the session, and a fit that does not need breaking in. It runs true to size in a medium D width. Colourways are white with navy blazer, white with black, deja vu blue with white, and titanium with snow white. I mean, they all look fine.
The white and navy is the one.
Anyway, Nouadhibou. There are more than three hundred ships rusting in that bay because people just left them there, and a train two kilometres long that comes out of the desert with iron ore on it.
