There are, I think, two reasonable positions on the sports bra question, and I want to give both a fair hearing before I say anything else. One school holds that a bra should be engineered — panelled, clasped, adjustable, a piece of apparatus. The other holds that it should be a simple knitted garment you pull on and forget.
Both are correct, for different people, on different days. The New Balance Seamless Cami Tennis Sports Bra 3-Pack belongs firmly to the second school, and it belongs there without apology.
Seamless means the body is knitted in the round rather than cut and sewn, so there are no side seams at all — nothing pressing a line into your ribs, nothing to chafe, and no stitching to give way, since stitching is where garments generally end their lives. Simple.
Cami describes the straps: a camisole cut, straight over the shoulder rather than crossed or racered.
Deliberately so.
It arrives in threes, and the colour sets are unusually well judged: Black/Black/Black, Grey/Black/Sea Salt, Heather/Black/Black, and Navy/Blue/Grey. Sea Salt is a very pale warm off-white and it is the reason to consider that second set.
Where I must be careful, and I would rather be careful than confident: the support level, the fabric composition, the removability of the pads and the size range are not published in any source I could reach, because the manufacturer's own catalogue declined to open. Mine is that it should not.
There are many perspectives on how much a description should fill in.
Zielona Góra suits this.
It is a town that has held two things at once for a very long time without anybody demanding it choose — a co-cathedral rather than a cathedral, sharing its seat with another church elsewhere; a town hall with a fifty-four-metre tower that leans because of a building error and has been left leaning ever since; and a palm house standing on a slope that used to be a vineyard, and in a real sense still is.
You will wear these everywhere from an evening clinic back home to the length of the Stary Rynek, and by the way, they are perfect for a slow afternoon up on Winne Wzgórze, where the town keeps its wine and its palms on the same hill and sees no contradiction in it at all.
There are two reasonable positions on this question. This garment holds one of them, and holds it without apology.
