This is the midplus version, so a moderate head rather than an oversize, and it is a light frame with an open string pattern, which is the combination you want when you are still building swing speed rather than trying to survive somebody else's.
The V-Cell generation is where Volkl put its comfort work. V-Cell material in the layup, REVA, the V-Sensor handle system and the VTEX butt cap all exist for the same reason — to take the sting out of impact before it reaches your hand — and Volkl's own line about the result is that it lets players train harder and longer with less fatigue.
Which, having now read that sentence off my notes about four times, I have decided is the honest claim here rather than a boast. It is an all-around frame that will not punish you, and the open pattern gives you real spin access while you learn what to do with it.
It is not a control stick for a big hitter.
And it lives in Dabrowa Gornicza, which — I looked this up twice because I did not believe my own notes — is a Polish coal town that will let you walk into a mine. The Sztygarka museum has a demonstration coal mine underneath it that you go down into and walk through, which is the single most unexpected thing on any tour I have been handed.
